About Agate
Agate is a banded form of chalcedony, a fine-grained quartz. Its layers form inside rock cavities and come in many colours, with curved or straight patterns.

- Treatments: Much agate on the market is dyed to strengthen or change its colour; ask us about any piece to see its treatment.
- Care: Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, and keep dyed agate out of long, strong sunlight.
