Raza Gems LLC was founded by Mir Mohammed Raza, a gemstone specialist whose journey into the world of precious stones began long before the business had a name. With roots deeply embedded in the gemstone trading hubs of Bangkok, Thailand, and India — three of the most important gemstone sourcing regions in the world — Mir Mohammed Raza built his expertise the old-fashioned way: by being present at the source, learning from the best, and developing relationships with miners, cutters, and traders that most dealers never get access to.
20+ Years of Expertise
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the international gemstone industry, Mir Mohammed Raza has personally sourced, inspected, and traded thousands of natural gemstones across rubies, sapphires, emeralds, diamonds, and a vast range of precious and semi-precious stones. His training spans the full journey of a gemstone — from the mine to the market — giving him an eye for quality, authenticity, and value that simply cannot be learned from textbooks.
His deep ties to Bangkok and Thailand — the global hub for sapphire and ruby trading — gave him access to some of the finest stones coming out of Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. His connections in India provided expertise in traditional gemstone cutting, Vedic gemstone traditions, and the vast semi-precious stone market. And his presence across the wider international trade circuit built the network of suppliers and laboratories that Raza Gems relies on to this day.
Coming to Dubai
Dubai was a natural home for a business built on international gemstone trading. The city's position as a global crossroads — connecting East and West, serving buyers from every continent — made it the perfect base for a gemstone business with worldwide ambitions. Authenticity. Every gemstone we sell is natural and genuine. We work with internationally recognised gemological laboratories — IGI, GRS, Gübelin, and others — to test and certify our stones. We never sell a synthetic stone as natural, or a treated stone without telling you. Lab-created stones such as moissanite are always clearly labelled. Our word is our most valuable asset and we protect it in every transaction.
Expertise. Twenty years of experience means we know gemstones at a level most dealers do not. We do not just sell stones — we educate our customers, help them understand what they are buying, and guide them to the right choice for their needs and budget.
