About Emerald (Panna)
Emerald is the green variety of beryl, coloured by chromium and vanadium. Most emeralds contain natural inclusions, known in the trade as the jardin, which are normal for this stone.

- Treatments: Most emeralds are filled with oil or resin to reduce the look of fissures; ask us for the lab report on any stone to see its treatment.
- Care: Clean gently with lukewarm soapy water, and avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, heat and harsh chemicals.
